Tashi holds the details of your wedding. This page sets out what the app collects, why it needs it, and how to get rid of it. If anything here is unclear, write to support@tashi.app.
What we collect
Only what the app needs to plan your wedding:
- Account details. An email address if you register with one, or an identifier from Apple or Google if you sign in that way. You can also use Tashi as a guest, with no details at all.
- Wedding details. The couple's names, the date, the location you search for, your estimated guest count and budget, and the styles you pick during setup.
- Planning data. Your guest list including the names, emails, phone numbers and dietary notes you enter, your budget and expenses, your seating plan, your wedding party, and your saved vendors.
- Images. Photos you upload to a mood board, and photos a vendor uploads to a listing they manage.
- Diagnostic logs. The app keeps a short local log to help with faults. It is redacted of tokens and email addresses, is deleted after ten days, and never leaves your phone unless you tap Report a problem and send it yourself.
What we do not collect
- Your location in the background. The app only looks up places you search for.
- Your payment details. Subscriptions are bought through Apple, which handles the card and shares only the subscription status with us.
- Anything from your social accounts beyond the sign-in identifier.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data, and we do not pass your guest list or your budget to vendors. Data is processed on our behalf by the services that run the app:
- Google Firebase, for sign-in and for the servers that store and return your planning data.
- Google Places, when you search for a location or view a vendor's opening hours, directions and reviews.
- RevenueCat, to record whether a subscription is active.
- Apple, if you buy a subscription.
Where it is kept
Your planning data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure and is sent between your phone and our servers over an encrypted connection. Every request is tied to your own account, so one account cannot read another's wedding.
Your choices
- Correct anything. Every field you enter can be edited in the app.
- Delete your account. Profile, then delete account. This removes your wedding data and cannot be undone.
- Ask us. Write to us for a copy of what we hold about you, or to ask us to remove it.
Children
Tashi is meant for adults planning a wedding and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where it matters, tell you in the app.
